Weak Song / Sauce
June 27th, 2008 by DanielPosted in Poems | No Comments »
Middling today, in a blank state
of wishing I was somewhere else,
Something further, something more.
Today, for me, “Christ is great!”
-that great cry of heart-worship-
Is just a thought, and not a passion.
But what if this little song
That says so little, and weakly so,
is the Spirit’s work in me?
To lament my inachievement,
Isn’t that a cry for help,
A call for mercy to my Lord?
‘When I am weak’- that would be now…
Yet I am told that it’s the way
God chose (in me) to make Christ great.
